Partnering with Sesame Street: Creating Global Educational Content Through Animation

At Wienot Films, we believe that animation is one of the most powerful tools for teaching — especially when it comes to engaging parents and young learners. So when we had the opportunity to collaborate with the legendary Sesame Street team on a global education initiative, we jumped at the chance.

This project wasn’t for the TV show, but for Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational arm behind the brand. Their goal? To create educational animations that help train parents around the world in simple, effective ways to better connect with their children through everyday moments.

Animation That Teaches Without Words

The heart of this project was a series of whiteboard animations designed to complement live-action vignettes featuring real families. Our challenge was to create visuals that could teach parenting strategies without using any spoken dialogue — ensuring the content would resonate across languages and cultures.

As parents and lifelong Sesame Street fans ourselves, we were honored to help bring this vision to life.

Our Role in the Project

Our team handled all aspects of the educational animation process — from concept refinement and illustration to storyboarding and animation. Each video needed to communicate practical parenting insights with warmth, clarity, and creativity, using only visuals to tell the story.

The result? Short, engaging animations that show how everyday household items — like pots, boxes, or even trees — can become tools for creative play and learning.
